Their main base was George’s back garden, and after learning a collection of covers, they wanted to start writing their own songs. They landed their first gig at The New Adelphi Club in 2018; its success led to a consistent run of gigs into the next year at venues and festivals such as Humber Street Sesh, Trib Fest and Off The Road Live Lounge.

However, in this time the band stayed productive, writing songs like The Streets and working on home demos and the acoustic version of their original song Affirmative Action. They continued to write and prepare for their live show back when they could. Their first gig from lockdown was back to their roots at The New Adelphi Club in June 2021. A long time away from live music, the band got the itch for playing live, again.

click Suburban Marshals played lots of gigs in 2021, including more regular gigs down Princes Avenue at venues such as The Lounge and Off The Road Live Lounge. Also, this year saw the band move their base to Rockit Studios for practice and recording. There, the band recorded their single The Streets and other tracks.
